Death of Miss Emma Mason at Her Home in Hickory - Buried Today
Miss Emma Mason, only daughter of the late Henry Mason, died Thursday morning at four o'clock of consumption, at the family home, nine miles north of the city.
The deceased was only eighteen years of age and was a young lady of such worth and popularity as will cause her death to be most deeply deplored by a wide circle of friends who sincerely sympathize with the bereaved mother.
Miss Mason's funeral was held at two o'clock this afternoon at Pleasant Valley church. The remains were inhumed in Union Cemetery.
