March 5, 1949 - June 6, 2017
Thomas “Tommy” Errol Chambers, 68, of Port Acres, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017. He was born on March 5, 1949, in Port Arthur, to Emma Theresa Waller Chambers and Elzie Brooks Chambers.


Tommy was a United States Army veteran. He retired as an engineer from AT&T. Tommy enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, and relaxing in his garage with family and friends. He was an avid Cowboy fan and a Nascar fan. Tommy loved watching grandchildren playing baseball and dancing.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Chambers of Port Acres; daughters, Gidgit Bertrand and her husband, Eric, of Port Acres, Casey Marshall of Orangefield, and Mindy Simmons and her husband, Oscar, of Bridge City; son, Kolby Morgan of Groves; grandchildren, Koltin Marshall, Emma Marshall, and Reid Simmons; and nephews, Shane Chambers and Clint Chambers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Elzie “Sonny” Chambers.

A gathering of Mr. Chambers’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at Broussard’s Mortuary, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Broussard’s, Nederland with his interment following at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
