BETTENDORF -- Thomas J. Seymour, 70, of Bettendorf, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Tom was born June 4, 1945, in Davenport, the son of Donald and Norma (Ruhser) Seymour. He was united in marriage to Mary Suzanne Musal in February of 1963 in Bettendorf.

Tom was a welder in the experimental department at J.I. Case in Bettendorf and Burlington. He was past president of the Alliance of Retired Americans and the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, Local 858 in Bettendorf.
