Phyllis H. Anderson, 86, of Rockford, Illinois, went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ surrounded by her family on February 20, 2017. She was born on April 6, 1930 in Rockford, the daughter of Kaleb and Eunice (Fast) Johnson.
Phyllis graduated from East High School in 1947. She was a lifelong member of First Evangelical Free Church and active in many of the ministries, including Maranatha Class, Deaconess Ministry, Sarah Circle and Son Risers.
Survivors include: husband, Vernon; daughters, Cheryl (Terry) Sutton, and Lori Anderson; son, Kevin (Amy) Anderson; grandchildren, Tim (Jackie) Sutton, Becky (Randy) Warner, and Drew Anderson; great-grandchildren, Jake, Haley, and Ethan Sutton, and Aly, Gavin, and Logan Warner.
Predeceased by: parents; and two sisters.
Funeral Service on Monday, February 27, 2017, at First Evangelical Free Church in Rockford. Private burial in Arlington Cemetery.
