Don was born April 10, 1963, in Alexandria, Virginia to Robert C. and Alice (Mellett) White. Following his attendance at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa, he joined the Marine Corps.
After working for a year with his dad in the oil fields of Wyoming, he married Joni Piercey. The couple had two children, Cortni and Kedryn.
Don graduated from Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa, and went on to teach at the school. He worked in computer technology for Apple Computer, Volt Services, and Metro PCS.
Don later married Ruby Priebe Booth on July 26, 2011, in Kentucky. The couple resided in DeWitt.
Don had a great twisted sense of humor. He had a passion for photography, music, movies and reading. He loved animals and had an impressive Pepe Le Pew collection.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; children, Cortni White of Creston, and Kedryn White of Lenox; grandchildren Phoenix and Oaklynn; his mother, Alice White of DeWitt; siblings, Steve (Shirlene) Wright, Michael (Pamela) White, John (Clara) White, and Melissa (Mark) Lane; nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by father, Robert C. White.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017. A Memorial Service will follow, at 4:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
