MRS. BRAATEN DIES; FUNERAL TOMORROW
Mrs. Hilma Braaten, 42, a resident of Missoula for the past two years, passed away in Missoula Sunday morning.
Mrs. Braaten was born Nov. 11, 1921, at Watford City, N.D. She attended schools there and was a graduate of the Watford City High School. On July 9, 1947, she was married to Andrew Braaten at Three Forks, Mont.
They came to Kalispell where they lived until moving to Missoula two years ago. Mrs. Braaten was a former member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Kalispell and was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Missoula at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway Lodge of Missoula, being drill captain for that organization.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew, and two daughters, Marilyn and Sandra at the family home in Missoula; her father, John Knutson, presently in Harstad, Norway; one brother, Trygve Knutson of Grand Haven, Mich.; and three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Cox of Three Forks, Mrs. Marvin (Ruth) Melium and Mrs. Archie (Juliet) Bonney, both of Sacramento, Calif. She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother and one sister.
Funeral servies for Mrs. Braaten will be conducted in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Glenn Husby, pastor of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Missoula, officiating.
Interment will be in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home.

BRAATEN RITES ARE CONDUCTED
Funeral services for Hilma T. Braaten were conducted Wednesday afternoon in Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn Husby, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officating.
Interment was in Conrad Memorial Cemetery with James Jewett, Arthur Hanson, Philip Elton, Julius Skaar, Eugene Mauzey, Engvald Skare serving as pallbearers.
