Sterling Edward "Pee-Wee" Crumpton, 76, died Sept. 18, 2004.

Born in Salem, Mr. Crumpton was a son of the late Charles Pinkney and Mary Kelley Crumpton. He was retired from the Ellison Plant of Alice Mfg. Company, was a member of Elljean Baptist Church and loved woodworking and gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Lounelle Patton Crumpton, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Jane Crumpton and Dennis and Tina Crumpton, all of Easley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Mike Reid and Evelyn and Stanley Harper, all of Easley; a brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Edna Crumpton, of Easley; two sisters, Viola Heaton, of Fountain Inn and Jessie Smith, of Liberty; nine grandchildren, Nikki Miller and her husband, Chris, Brent Wood and his wife, Amanda, Tracy Reid, Tiffany Wynn and her husband, Daniel, Charlie Crumpton and his wife, Jessica, Matthew Harper, Candice Harper, Cody Crumpton, Haley Crumpton; and two great grandchildren, Lauren Miller and Emmelynn Wynn. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crumpton was predeceased by two brothers, Seaborn and Joe Crumpton; a sister, Ethel Wood; and a granddaughter, Tammy Wood.
