Marguerite Mary Corn

Age 84, of Braceville, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her home. Born August 11, 1932 in Joliet, IL to the late Carl and Mayme (nee Sandretto) Edmundson. Marguerite married Martin Corn on April 21, 1951 in Braidwood, IL. She worked at the Braidwood Post Office. She volunteered at the Morris Hospital inpatient transportation for 12 years, and also volunteered with the Mennonites, the Red Cross to aid those in need, and also traveled to Honduras to orphanages there. Marguerite displayed the love of Christ and passionately cared for people less fortunate.

Surviving are her children, Debby Lee of Knoxville, TN, Joey (Michael) Canady of Channahon, IL, Marty Corn of Elgin, IL, and Robert (Shannon) Corn of Shorewood, IL. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Talitha (Eddie) Beebe, Nathan (Melissa) LeBlanc, Cassia Ferguson, Brandon (Stephanie) Petersen, Sandi (Eddie) Lee, Colette (Jayson) Carter, Alex, Samantha, and Rebecca Corn, and Nicole and Jacob Corn.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Marty Corn; and daughter, Sandy Corn. Cremation rites have been accorded.

A Memorial Service will be at the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Steve Bondi will officiate.

Inurnment will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Braceville, IL.
