Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran WWII. He worked throughout his career with Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company, in various locations in southeast Nebraska, retiring in the executive offices at the headquarters in Lincoln.
He was a member of numerous civic organizations including past president of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Geneva Lions Club, served on the Geneva School Board, member of Nebraska State Education Association, Geneva Masonic Lodge and the Lincoln Shrine.
Family members include: his sons, John (Martha), Dr. Stephen (Laurie) Adamson; grandchildren, Jessie (Noah) Kaarbo, Katie (Joel) Haerling, Sarah (Arijit) Das and Joseph (Kaitlin) Adamson; great-grandchildren, Henry and Kit Kaarbo, Adam Joseph Haerling, and Ananya Das; special friend, Jean Patoka; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Lorene; brothers, Dale and Earl; twin-sisters, Helen and Halle.
Celebration of Life Service on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Roper and Sons Chapel. Interment in Nelson Cemetery on May 27, 2017.
