MUNCY, Anna L. Age 84 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2016. She was born on February 5, 1932 to the late Elvin and Mae (Gullett) VanHoose in Paintsville, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, John I. Muncy; son, Michael VanHoose; great granddaughter, MacKenzee Hartley; brother, Harry VanHoose; and sisters, Verina Dygert and Dissie Sherman. She is survived by her daughters, Esther (Ward) Ackley, Rose Fletcer and Sandra Dietrich; grandchildren: Joe (Stephanie) VanHoose, Carrie (Dan) Hartley, Amanda (Andy) Schlegel and Holly Tackett; Great-Grandchildren, Thayendanegea and Avery VanHoose, Dylan Hartley, Mike Fletcer, Tori Cheatham, Landen and Jackson Schlegel and Jonny, Caroline and Dean Tackett; 6 step-grandchildren, Donna, Kim, Butch, Lisa, Becky and Misty; special step-great-granddaughter, Stephanie; brother and sister-in-law, John (Pat) VanHoose; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris (Bill) Jones and Mary (Jim) Williams; and numerous step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Baptist Church and loved gardening and quilting. Above all, Anna's time spent with her family was what she cherished most. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Grove United Baptist Church with Pastors Patrick Gilliam, and Todd and Keith Scheiderer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 14, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER, Springfield.
