Robert W. Crawford, a resident of Concord for the past year, died yesterday afternoon at the Margaret Pillsbury Unit of the Concord Hospital. Born in Newmarket, and a former resident of Litchfield, he had been employed for 40 years at the International and McElwain Shoe companies in Manchester.
Mr. Crawford was a member of Washington Lodge, F&AM, of Manchester, and was a past noble grand of Oak Hill Lodge, IOOF. He was a member of West Congregational Church and was formerly a deacon of the Hudson Community Church.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Wylie) Crawford; son Edward Crawford of Concord; sisters Mrs. Harry Farley, Mrs. Andrew B. Thompson, and Mrs. Eugene Morse, all of Manchester; granddaughter Mrs. Jacqueline Lane of Portsmouth; and grandson Bruce Crawford of Concord.
Funeral services will be held at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut Street, Manchester, tomorrow at 2 p.m. Friends are invited. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
