HENDERSON-Anthony Dale "Tony" Finch a resident of Gun Club Road, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Born in Vance County on August 3, 1961, he was the son of the late Mickey Finch and Marjorie Jeffreys Finch. He had many passions in his life, first God, then family, and his everlasting love for the Henderson Police Department of which he was a retired Detective Sgt. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 am at Lancaster Memorial Gardens in Franklin County by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and the Rev. Henry Abbott. He is survived by his wife, Lois Perry Finch of the home; one sister, Kathy Currin and husband, Billy of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Cindy Garland of Henderson, one stepson, Rudy Orr of Henderson; eight grandchildren including one special granddaughter, Jessica Hayes; two step great grandchildren Brison Hayes and Conner Hayes; one nephew, Will Currin; and one niece Casie Currin . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Finch and Scottie Finch. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 11 am at Lancaster Memorial Gardens. At other times they will be at the home of Billy and Kathy Currin, 100 Willie Currin Road. Tonys faith remained strong through all his sickness and many trials. He fought the good fight and finished the race.
