Gloria J. Bartlett, 70, of Bear River, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at the Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, Minn.
She was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Cloquet, to Edwin and Saima Gustafson, and grew up on the Iron Range. Gloria was employed by ISD No. 2142 for 33 years and retired as school secretary of the Cook School.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping, fishing, and recently going to the casino with her sister and niece.
Left to cherish Gloria’s memory are stepchildren, Kent Bartlett, and Keith (Mary) Bartlett; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Ellen; and nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Ervin; parents, Edwin and Saima Gustafson; and two brothers, Axel and Clarence.
A visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2015. Due to road construction, services will be held at Bear River School in Bear River, Minn. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with Gloria Anderson-Hegg officiating. A luncheon in Gloria’s honor will follow the service at the Bear River School. Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home of Virginia.
