Robert A. “Bob“ Cameron, age 89, of West Dundee passed away on Tuesday evening, September 20, 2016 at Presence-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin surrounded by his family. Bob was born on January 13, 1927 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada and was one of three sons born to the late John L. & Hilda Cameron. On October 11, 1958 he married Mary K. Rogers. Bob and Mary have been residents of the Dundee-Carpentersville areas for the past 58 years. He was a former 42 year employee of W.R. Meadows prior to retirement. Bob was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. Survivors include his wife of almost 58 years; Mary K. Their children: Laura (Bryan) Rathjen and Robert W. (Venera) Cameron and grandsons: Cameron & Jonathan Rathjen. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers: John & David. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. A private family Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee followed by burial at Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee
