Larry, 83, of Ashley, Gratiot County, Michigan, 83, of Ashley, MI, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.

Funeral Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI, on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, with Pastor Kathy Leydorf-Keck officiating. Burial took place at Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, MI.

Larry graduated from Owosso High School. On November 24, 1967 he married Joan Marie Patterson; Joan passed away on March 25, 2010. Larry retired from General Motors after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and putting puzzles together. He also enjoyed spending time on Lincoln Lake in Greenville and driving his pontoon boat. He liked cooking, baking pies and bread. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his step children: Rosemary Leydorf of Harrison, MI; Jim Saxton of Alice, TX; Mark and Martha Saxton of Perrinton, MI; Max and Connie Saxton of Harrison, MI; and Carol B. Monahan of Harrison, MI. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Scott, David, Courtney, Becky, Brian, Jessica, Andy, Matthew, Nicholas, Casey, and Joe and several great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice, Midland, MI.
