Leo Mock, 97, of Arroyo Grande, CA, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2012. Leo was born in Tustin, CA in July 1914 to Clarence Elmer Mock and Flora Melvina Mock. At the age of 2 the family moved to Manhattan Beach where he lived for 81 years. He worked at the Manhattan Beach Post Office for 38 years, retiring in 1976 as postmaster. In his retirement Leo and his wife Lucile enjoyed traveling the United States with close friends and relatives. In 1997, they moved to Arroyo Grande to be closer to family, where they enjoyed the wildlife, natural beauty, and quality of life on the Central Coast. He was a kind, loving and generous man whose favorite phrase was "The Sky's the Limit!" He is survived by his son, John Mock (Mary) of Carlsbad; daughter, Debbie Bowers of Arroyo Grande; grandchildren, Bret Bowers of San Luis Obispo, Jennifer Stoll (Michael) of Hinsdale, IL, Katie Mock of Aliso Viejo; great-granddaughter, Claire Stoll; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lucile Acree Mock, daughter, Patricia Ann Mock and sisters, Cecil Selby, Marguerite Moore and Vivian Hanson.
