Sadie was the daughter of George S. Kenison and Cynthia M. Derby.
On June 15, 1881 in Lancaster she married Gardner Daniel Shores.
Their children were Clayton and Glennie Leonia.
They were separated by the 1900 census and in April 1907 Sadie got a divorce for abandonment. In 1910 she was listed as divorced, then in 1930 she was listed as widowed. I don't know if this was an error or not, because in a 1938 city directory for Hamden, CT she was living with son Clayton & his wife Kathleen, and she was listed as the widow of Gardner.
That was the last directory she was in. In 1939 Clayton & Kathleen were still living at the same address but Sadie was not there. I can't find a death listing for her but I believe she died around 1938, and would probably have been buried here with her daughter. Hopefully there will be a headstone to clear it up.
