Mrs. Anna Holmes
Anna Frances Rowbal Holmes was born at Grand Island, Nebr., January 25, 1882, and departed this life at her home in Ord on Feb. 9, 1927 being at the time of her death 45 years and 15 days of age.
When but a small child she with her parents moved to Ord where she grew to womanhood. She received her education in the schools of Ord and completed a two year course in the Grand Island Teachers college. She taught twelve successful terms of school in Valley county.
On June 12th, 1912 she was united in marriage to David M. Holmes. To this union one child was born, Margaret Agnes, now aged 13 years. Besides her husband and daughter, she leaves to mourn her death five brothers and one sister. They are Joe, John, Mart and Lucy of Ord, George of Des Moines, Ia., and Albert of Omaha.
