Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, June 24, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Joe Daniel officiating, with a private family burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker was a native of Vidalia, GA, a graduate of Toombs County High School, a business school graduate in Anderson, SC and an active member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School Class. She was a former owner & operator of The Tog Shop and The Country Cottage for many years. She formerly worked in the Dodge County Commissioners office as a secretary and was active in Estate Sales. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed antiquing and flea market vending and was affectionately known as the “Roadrunner” by her family and friends for her affinity for going places. May was daughter of the late Georgia May High Rattray & James Malcolm Rattray, widow of John Thomas “Jack” Tucker and was preceded in death by 2 Sisters – Blanche Collins and Nellie Tomlinson, 2 Brothers Malcolm James Rattray and Jack Maurice Rattray and a Son-in-Law – Jeff Fisher.
The family may be contacted at the Tucker residence, 5126 Ogden Street, Eastman and will receive friends one hour prior to services in Southerland Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 24. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
