Obituary
Joseph H. Fisher, a life-long resident of
this vicinity, died at his home on Fair
street in this village,Jan. 12, 1930, aged
77 years. His death was caused by the
effects of a shock which he suffered last
week. He had been working daily as usual
until suddenly stricken with the shock.
The deceased was a son of the late George
W. and Phoebe Parker Fisher and was born
in the town of Kent. He had been employed
on farms and as a laborer all of his life
in the vicinity of Carmel. About 50 years
ago he married Miss Mary L. Head, who
survives with four children, one son, Arthur
of Ludingtonville, and three daughters, Mrs.
David Hyatt of Carmel, Mrs. Garfield Tucker
of Mahopac Falls and Mrs. A.C. Worden of
Shelton, Conn. Also survived by one sister,
Mrs. James Robinson of Brewster and one
brother, Byron of Tilly Foster. One brother,
Nathaniel is dead.
Interment was made in the family plot in
Raymond Hill cemetery.
