Chester J. Kiska Sr., 88, of 70 Kiska Dr., Lake City, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 16, 2015 at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 30, 1927 in Carnegie, son of the late Michael and Sophie (Bishop) Kiska.
He married Margaret A. McKelvey on June 2, 1951, she preceded him in death.
He resided in Lake City since 1986 and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of the senior center and the VFW. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He had been employed by Union Electric Steel for 27 years.
He is survived by the following children: Elizabeth A. (Floyd) Lent of North Prince George, Va., Chester J. (Ruth Ann) Kiska Jr. of Wintersville, Ohio, David J. Kiska of West Palm Beach, Fla., Mary Jane Kiska (Kristopher Eshghy) of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Sean Michael, Jillian, Patrick A., Stephen, Matthew, Kaitlyn; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Kiska of Arizona and Stanley (Mary Ann) Kiska of Carnegie; one sister, Theresa Antonelli of Whitehall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
