The death occurred at the Wagga Base Hospital on Wednesday night of a very old and esteemed resident of the Wagga district, Mr. James Taylor, of 'Narooma,' Yarragundry, at the age of 87 years. He was bom at Williamstown (V.), and had resided all his life in wagga and Yarragundry.
For many years, he was in the employ of Mr. A. R. Martin ,of 'Narooma.' Mr. Taylor was well-known for his honest and straightforward character. He is survived by his widow (Mrs. Martha Taylor), of Yarragundry: one brother, Mr. William Taylor, of Wagga, and three sisters, Mrs. W. Sonneman, of Fox Street, Wagga, Mrs. H. Hodges, of Edward Street, Wagga, and Mrs, H. Campbell, sen., of Marrar.
The funeral will take place in Wagga today, the cortege leaving St. John's Church of England after a service at 2 p.m. for the Wagga cemetery.
