DORIS MARIE MELANCON PETE passed away February 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old and a longtime resident of the Westbank of New Orleans, LA. Survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three brothers and a daughter-in-law.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney "Rudy" Casbon, parents, Jules and Odile Melancon, son, Scott C. Pete Jr., and a sister, Linda M. Thibodaux(Henry).
Doris was retired after 30 years with the Jefferson Parish Recreational Department and 25 years with the Marrero Lion's Home.
She was an active member of Nicholson Golden Agers, The Marrero Lion's Home, and The Red Hat Society.
Doris loved frogs (princes too!).🐸
