Abe M. Brownstein was the second son of Jacob Brownstein and Goldie Berman. He married Anna Cohen on Sept 7, 1913 in Chicago. Abe and Anna had a son Gordon who at the age of 8, drowned accidentally in Michigan on Aug 8,1929. They also had a daughter Shirley, born March 27,1915. Nine months after Gordon died, Abe and Anna had another son, Daniel Abe Brownstein born May 21, 1930, and a daughter Joan born about 1932. Need to edit this Samuel Brownstein it is the wrong person as the brother.
Abe owned a business of wholesale apparel where he was a salesman. Originally he was a harness maker. In 1940 Abe was a buyer for a ladies dress shop.
Abe's middle name is Maurice and in honor of his grandfather Moshe or Morris David Brownstein. M. is shortened. Abe also has a sister Rose who married an Abe Rosenstein, and a brother named Sam.
