Vicky Rae Marriott Beesley
"Thanks for the Memories" Vicky Rae Marriott Beesley, age 61, returned to her heavenly family on Monday, April 11, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born May 30, 1943 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Raymond Daniel and Gladys Margaret Steuri Marriott.
She was raised in Sandy, Utah, graduated from Jordan High School and attended the University of Utah. She met her best friend, Gary Max Beesley in Jr. High School, and they became college sweethearts. They were married July 1, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, scrapbooking, camping and fishing trips at Lake Powell. She worked in the insurance profession for many years. She served in many capacities in the Butler 1st Ward. Her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, daughters Jill Rae (Roger Kipp), Jereme Lynn (Randy Miles), Alix Alesha, and Ashley Leah (Stephen Lougy). She was a doting grandmother to Kelly, Matt, Courtney, Dallas, Sydney, Austin and Trevor; siblings Dan (Marilynn) Marriott, Tom (Carol) Marriott, Brent (Alane) Marriott, Susan (Lester Cannon), in-laws Max and Jean Beesley, and a large extended family and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Butler 1st Ward, 2695 E. 7000 S. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) and at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates.
The family extends sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of the LDS Hospital 6th Floor Med Surge and Shock Trauma ICU. "Thanks for the Memories", babe. Enjoy your cheeseburger and Coke!
