Kathryn Offenborn was born on September 27, 1922 in Flint, MI to the late George and Agnes (Gilmour) Offenborn. She was married to the late Lowell Kearns on July 5, 1943 in Wilmington Delaware. Kathryn graduated from Saginaw High School and was employed by Lufkin Rule, and self employed as a beautician.
Surviving are 1 son and 2 daughters; Kenneth (Kristina) Kearns of Richville, Kathleen Popielarz of Saginaw, Kay (Dale) Whitney of East Tawas, 6 grandchildren; Kenneth (Lauren) Kearns Jr., Phd. of Bay City, Courtney (Steve) Owens of Vassar, Patrick Kearns of Saginaw, Shellie (Scott) Wenzel of Frankenmuth, Jeremy Whitney of Atlanta, GA, Joshua (Jasica) Whitney of East Tawas, 3 great-grandchildren; Hannah Wenzel, Jacob Whitney, Michael, Keinath, a brother, Robert (Evelyn) Offenborn and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Lowell, Kathryn was preceded in death by son-in-law, Chester Popielarz.
