Elvina Mae Grant, 83, of Ochelata, died at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday in the Jane Phillips Medical Center.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in the Matoaka Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Stillwell of the Fairview Baptist Church at Shawnee officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.

Casket escorts will be Tim Sydebotham, T. C. Sydebotham, Michael Grant, Troy Gosney, Jeff Woods and Jim Woods. Honorary casket escorts will be Clyde Moore, Richard Moberly, John Askew, Jim Sheetz and Jake Woods.

Memorials have been established to The Heart Fund c/o Susie Tallent, Weststar Bank, P. O. Box 999, Bartlesville, OK or Jane Phillips Hospice c/o Bluestem Regional Medical Development Foundation, 3500 S.E. Frank Phillips Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Mrs. Grant was born Jan. 21, 1916 at Clarinda, Iowa, to Anthony M. and Elma (Hettinger) Pierce. She was raised and received her education in the Ramona and Ochelata area, attending school in Ramona. Mrs. Grant was active in farming and as a homemaker. She married Curtis Henry Sydebotham on May 15, 1936 at Bartlesville, and he preceded her in death in December 1936. She then married Searles Graden Grant on May 4, 1945 at Winfield, Kan. Mr. Grant preceded her in death on May 10, 1980.

Mrs. Grant attended the Matoaka Baptist Church. Her hobbies were quilting, flower gardening, ceramics and raising various types of birds.

Survivors include three sons, B. Curtis Sydebotham and Jick, both of Ochelata, and Marvin of Bartlesville; a daughter, Jane E. Harwell, of Houston, Texas; a brother, John L. Pierce, of Oglesby; two sisters, Betty of Copan and Juanita Robinson of Bartlesville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Joseph E. Pierce, and a sister, Edith Phillips also preceded Grant in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elvina Mae Grant, 83, resident of Ochelata, were held at 3:00 PM on Friday in the Matoaka Baptist Church with Rev.
