Donna Faye Sampson Prince, age 88, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 in Delta, Utah. She was born on December 19, 1927, on the kitchen table at her home in Delta. She was the seventh child of ten born to George Alma and Irene Lloyd Sampson. She grew up in the South Track area of Delta, and attended Delta High School. She was elected as one of Delta’s two cheerleaders at that time. After graduating, she worked as an assistant to Dr. Bird.

On June 5, 1946, she married Robert Oppenheimer. They had 3 children: Darcel - who died shortly after birth, Kelly and Kipp. The family moved to Monroe, Utah in 1965. Shortly thereafter, Donna attended beauty school in Richfield. She moved back to Delta in 1970, and opened her own business, Fashion Rite Beauty Salon. She loved her work with the ladies in the community and always went the extra mile to make herself available to make them look their best.

Donna and Bob divorced. She later married Keith Ross. He later passed away, but Donna stayed close to and enjoyed his family.

Donna’s son, Kelly, encouraged one of his older hunting buddies, Darce M. Prince, to meet his mother. They quickly hit it off and were married on January 5, 1993, and later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. They made their home in New Harmony, Utah and enjoyed 18 wonderful years together. He passed away on March 31, 2011.

Donna had a warm smile and big heart to share. She was always taking care of someone in need. Service was a big part of her life. She was always sharing her time or taking someone a meal. She had a lot of friends and she treasured them all. She had a strong spirit and remained resilient and positive through her many life trials. Her biggest priority was always her family. She loved to spoil her grandchildren, and get together with her 9 siblings whenever she could.

Donna was preceded in death by her siblings: Lloyd, Duane, Geneal, and Gerald; and daughter: Darcel. She is survived by her sons: Kelly (Shari), and Kipp; grandchildren: Shad, Zach, Chance, Drey, Tyesha, and Ryker; siblings: Don, James, Helen, Kenny, and Delma; and all the Ross and Prince kids and grandkids she dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, at 11:00 a.m., at the Sutherland LDS Chapel, 2620 N 3000 W. A Viewing will be held, 9:30-10:40 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the New Harmony Cemetery.
