Andrew was born to Christian and Martha Agerli. He came to America in 1887. He joined friends in Fillmore County, Minn, and did farm work. In 1902 he came to Barron County and bought 40 acres of brush land in Dovre Township, moving his wife and children into a homesteader's shack. He built up a good farm and won a fair degree of success in life. He carried on general farming and dairying, making a specialty of Holstein cattle. He helped organize the Ideal Cheese and Creamery Co. in Dovre Township. He married in 1897 and had four children, Carl, Nellie, Alma, and Amanda. They belonged to the Norwegian Lutheran Church. He was still living in 1930 at age 64. He began to go by the name Andrew Lee.
