Born Oct. 18, 1942, in Dudley, he was the son of the late C. Lorraine (Black) and Roy N. Adolphson.
Mr. Adolphson is survived by his brother, Nelson Adolphson of Dudley. He is survived by two nieces, Pamela Rhodes and Kristin Rhodes, as well as a nephew, Nelson Adolphson.
Mr. Adolphson was a member of Dudley United Methodist Church, Dudley. He served on the administrative board and was a Sunday school teacher.
He served on the Dudley Borough Council.
Mr. Adolphson was a 1962 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School. He was a graduate of the Altoona Beauty School where he studied in the cosmetology and teachers’ programs.
He worked as a hairdresser and cook for 30 years. Mr. Adolphson was the owner of Four Seasons Cafe, and, years ago, was the owner of the M&M Restaurant in Huntingdon. He also cooked at several local restaurants. Mr. Adolphson had worked as a beauty school instructor as well.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 30 at the Dudley Methodist Church, Dudley with the Rev. Alan Burdick officiating. Interment will be in the Dudley Protestant Cemetery, Dudley.
Friends are invited to call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Dudley Methodist Church, Dudley.
