Betty was born 16 August 1944 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Oris and Helen Francis (Fairchild) Overturf and she has three brothers Nathan Jefferson (deceased), Williard, and Edward who all served in the military.
Betty married (1) Eugene Martin (2) Unknown Hill (3) George Owens (partner) (4) Howard Williams.
In 2002 she lived in Jacksonville, Florida where she passed away on February 16, 2006 at the Cedar Hills Nursing Home. Her cremanes were entrusted to the Morton-Johnston Funeral Home and burial was in Harrison Cemetery, Buckner, IL.
Survivors of her brother Nathan: He is survived by his wife, Merry Lynn (FUNDERBURK) OVERTURF of the home; two daughters, Jennifer (OVERTURF) Ward, husband Cleo, of Lakeview, SC and Janis (OVERTURF) WILLIAMS, husband Adam, of Raeford, NC; a son, Dondi COGGINS and wife Kelly, of Charlotte, NC; two brothers Bill OVERTURF of Jacksonville, FL and Ed OVERTURF of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Tyler WARD, Adelle WARD, Jacob BROWN, Danielle KLINE and Charlie COGGINS, IV; and one great-grandchild, Malkayla KLINE.
