Inez Jocosia Whitehead Homer left this earthly existence at the home of her daughter Donna Mills. Born in Bench, Idaho, the second of eight children of John William Whitehead and Edith Mariah Hubbard Whitehead, she married Edmund Homer in the Logan Utah LDS Temple January 25, 1928.

Family moved to Salt Lake City in 1944 and owned and operated neighborhood grocery stores at 8th South and 6th East, 3rd East and Bryan Ave., and 6th East and Emerson Ave.

Retiring from Woolworth Store after 17 years of service she is survived by four of her five children: Eldon (LuJean); Donna (Robert) Mills; Lee (Gwen) Homer; Coreen (William) Jensen; sister Afton Gibbs, and brothers Lowell, Wallace (Alice) and Junior (Ann) Whitehead; 22 grandchildren, 90 great grand-children and 11 great great grandchildren. Husband Edmund, daughter Betty Jo, and grandson David Jensen predeceased Inez.
