He was the son of Elmer and Henrietta (Hogenkamp) Travis. On May 29, 1953, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Dayton, he married Rita E. Davis, who survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are three sons: Tom (Tina), New Bremen, Joe (Heather), Beavercreek, and John Paul (Lisa), Washington Twp.; three daughters: Paula (Paul) Wehner, Kettering, Shari (Ken) Merrill, Marrieta, GA, and Therese (Jay) Brown, Minster; a sister, Marjorie Ditzel, Clayton, CA; a sister-in-law, Joan Travis; and twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Edward; and a sister, Marilyn (James) Thill.
A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, he was also a member of IBEW Local 82 for more than 60 years and an Apprenticeship Trustee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
