Blaine William Price, age 86, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. Blaine was born February 7, 1929 in Los Angeles, California to Vaughn and Viola (Hansen) Price. He was a 27 year retired Navy veteran who served during WWII, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam War, and on board the Presidential yacht Honey Fritz during the Kennedy administration. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star during his Vietnam service time. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leonard, and a sister Mary.
Blaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Firestone Road. Blaine leaves to cherish his memories a host of many friends. A Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 am Monday, November 9, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5100 Firestone Road, Jacksonville, FL 32210. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
