Violet May Knutson, age 97, of Richland Center, died on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Pine Valley Healthcare. She was born October 21, 1917, the daughter of John E. and Orilla (Mizer) Walling. Violet was united in marriage with Glen Kyser and he preceded her in death September 24, 1970. She later married Everett Knutson, who also preceded her in death on March 26, 2000. Violet worked side by side with her husband on the farm. She loved playing cards, animals, and family time.

Step great great grandchildren: Isabel, Chase and Aleah

Sister in law: Donna Walling of Union Center

Several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two grandchildren: Julie and Brian Linhart; infant son John; siblings: Beatrice, Herschel, Francis, Ray and Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in the Viola Cemetery. Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. The family suggests memorials in Violet’s name be directed to the Pine Valley Foundation.
