HELEN CANTERBURY was a music teacher. Living in Boston, she and Miss Evelyn Duncanson bought a house and used part of it for music lessons and concerts and the other part as an assembly hall for religious meetings of the Baha’i Faith. It was listed as the Baha’i Center in the 1951 City Directory. They continued living there until 1956 when Chamberlayne Junior College bought it for a dormitory. Moving to Eliot she continued music lessons and giving concerts. Well loved woman. In later years resided with Knight of Baha’u’llah Emma Rice.
