Born at 32 Greenough Street in Wigan. Assumed to have been drowned after the destruction of HM Coastal Motor Boat no. 71a, off the Belgian coast, at the end of the Great War. Although his death is commemorated here on his parents' headstone, he is actually buried at Coxyde Military Cemetery in Koksijde, Belgium.
