Mariah Jane "Jennie" Hatt, was born on 23 December 1850, in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio to John Hatt and Martha Runyan Hatt.

There were three siblings in the family: Joseph H., Alexander R. and Mariah Jane Hatt. Their father John, died in 1854 and their mother Martha married Joseph Hughes.

Mariah Jane Hatt married Nathan Parisho on 2 September 1869, in Bartholomew County, Indiana. There were ten children born of their union with only five reaching adulthood. The ten were Martha M., Elmer Walter, William G., Frank Alexander, Twins, Mary Ann (Barton), Myrtle Almira "Myrtie" (Myers, Retherford), Carrie Zilpha (Merriman) and Rachel Belle Parisho. The five died as infants were Martha M., William, Twins, and Rachel Belle.

Mariah Jane "Jennie" Hatt Parisho died on 17 June 1889 in Cedar Vale, Cowley County, Kansas. It is not known where she was buried, but because Cedar Creek Cemetery is in the township where they lived it is where I have placed her memorial.

The Nathan Parisho Family moved from Kansas to Agra, Lincoln County, Oklahoma where many lived and died in the area. Many are buried in the Parkland Cemetery, Agra, Lincoln County, Oklahoma.
