Born April 18, 1927, in Irad, Ky., a son of the late Harlan and Gypsy Adams Wellman. Preceded in death by a son, Timothy Earl Wellman, and two sisters, Rebecca May and Daisy May. Survivors include his wife, Thursie Carolyn Bartrarn Wellman; four sons and three daughters, Michael Wellman, Leonard Wellman, Ralph Wellman, Patricia Barnett, Ellen Mustain and Bernadette S. Wellman; nine grandsons and one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters, Clyde Wellman, Sclena Young, Clifford Wellman, Lafe Wellman, Frank Wellman, Etta Marie Walker, Nannie Roberts and Martha Wellman. Burial August 5, 2002 in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa, Ky.
