Robert C. Storrie, Jr., 87, of Denton died July 24, 2015 at Denton rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

Bob was born 26 March 1928 to Robert C. and Kathleen Bates Storrie. He married Martha A. Gill in Houston on 21 August 1951.

Bob was a graduate of Denton High School (1945) and The Agricultural & Mechanical College of Texas (class of 1949 – mechanical engineering – whoop!) ; commissioned USAF officer and pilot serving in Germany 1950-1952, rotating stateside and serving in USAF Reserves through 1970.

Bob owned and operated Travelstead Auto Supply Co. with his father and eventually his sons until the business closed in December 2012. He was thankful for every customer that came through the door and enjoyed assisting them as much as he could.

Bob was proceeded in death by his wife, Martha, parents, and many beloved customers and friends, including friends Jess E. Shryack and Albert Willis "Al" Allin *. He is survived by his children Rob (Carmen), John (Vicki), Dr. Cecile Storrie, M.D. (Roger), and David (Nancy), twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister Suzon Leath (Neal) , sister-in-law Cecile Martin, and brother –in- law John Gill (Joyce); as well as several nieces and nephews.

* Bob was a skilled taildragger pilot, a good man with strong character and great wit. God broke the mold with Bob.

He is missed by all that knew and loved him.
