OBITUARY MR. WM. HARRIGAN. A man who was born in a house in Paynes lane, Tarrawanna, nearly 91 years, ago, passed away on Saturday in the same house. He was Mr. William Harrigan, who, in his younger days, was a distinguished rifle shot and had entered various interstate rifle shooting competitions. The late Mr. Harrigan's parents were both born in Sydney. He conducted a small farm at Tarrawanna at one time. His wife, the late Mrs. Elizabeth Harrigan predeceased him 17 years ago. Four sons survive him — Charles (Dorrigo), Jim (Dorrigo), Herbert and William, of Wollongong. Mr. Herbert (Bert) Harrigan is the proprietor of a Crown St., Wollongong, garage. The first Anglican church at Tarrawanna was built by the late Mr. Harrigan's father. Following a service, conducted by Rev. Osborne-Brown, assisted by Rev. A. A. Mutton, at his late residence on Monday, the remains were laid to rest beside those of his wife in the Wollongong Church of England cemetery.
