Mark served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1999, retiring as a SPC-4 after becoming a disabled veteran. Mark was an avid hunter, loved going fishing, being on his farm near Milo and doing outdoor projects, shooting guns, riding his horse and motorcycle. He was a dedicated family man, and a life-long student of history. Mark is survived by his wife, parents, brother, 2 sisters, 6 nephews and 4 nieces; 1 daughter;
5 stepchildren and 14 grandchildren. Public visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, with Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 E. Salem, Indianola, Iowa. Military Honors will follow Services.
