Earl L. Ridlen
Earl L. Ridlen 79, Beech Grove, passed away March 17, 2006.
He was born January 28, 1927 at Indianapolis to the late Meredith and Ruth Crider Ridlen. Earl married Colleen L. Corwin December 20, 1944 at San Diego, Ca., who passed away March 11, 2001.
Survivors include daughter, Charmon C. (Marvin) Clarkson, New Palestine; son, Earl L. (Debra) Ridlen II, Greenwood; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Thurman Ridlen, Overland Park, KS. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan E. Miller and brother, Donald Ridlen.
Before retiring he had been employed by Laughner's Cafeteria in construction and maintenance and previously as a self-employed construction contractor.
He was a WW II Navy veteran and memberships include Ernie Pyle VFW Post 1120, Beech Grove American Legion Post 276, Indiana Historical Society, Society of Pioneers and Indianapolis Baptist Temple.
Services 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21st in Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center with visitation 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 20th. Interment New Palestine Cemetery. www.singletonmortuary.com
