Robert was born November 5, 1940, in Neligh, NE, to Frank and Vonda (Edwards) Griffith. He attended school in Neligh. He had 3 brothers.
He married Sandra K. Howard on April 2, 1961 in Fullerton, NE. They were blessed with 3 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was employed with Petersons Construction 25 years, Brester Construction, T & M Construction, and retired from Constructors in 2004.
He enjoyed stock car racing, metal detecting, Husker football, all sports, and spending time with his family.
Robert DeWayne Griffith, 74, of Lincoln, a loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Art Griffith; wife, Sandy; daughter, Robin Griffith; grandchildren, Adam Griffith, Sidney Pickard; great-grandchild, Coby Griffith.
Visitation 2-8 pm Monday, June 29, at Roper and Sons, 4300 "O" St., Lincoln, Nebraska, including 7 pm Prayer Service. Funeral Service 10:30 am Tuesday, June 30, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St., Lincoln, with Pastor Dan Safarik officiating and offering words of comfort. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
