Estella H. Lawrence, 92, of Hanover, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. Born Dec.21, 1909 in Brushtown, she was a daughter of the late Peter N. and Catherine Hufnagle Hufnagel. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Joseph Lawrence, in 1985. She retired from Sylvania Shoe Company in McSherrystown. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove and Sacred Heart Basilica Over 50 Club. She was a life member of the Brushtown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, Leo P. Lawrence of Hanover; three daughters, Doris E. Becker of York, Criselda L. Klein of Littlestown and Leona E.Mclntyre of New Oxford; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond J. Hufnagel of Hanover. She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Zumbrum; two brothers; and seven sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 20, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeal as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
