Melvin BAC Oliver, of Simms, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at a De Kalb, Texas care facility. He was 84. BAC was born August 24, 1930, in Bassett, Texas, to George Franklin and Charlotte Irene Hollingsworth Oliver.

He was a Roofer, a Carpenter, a farmer and rancher, a member of the NRA and a member of Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church. BAC was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Mary Frances Walker in 1974; and a stepson, Bruce Oliver.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Oliver of Simms, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Teri Oliver of Pittsburg, Texas; three daughters, Patricia Mills of Waynesboro, Georgia, Jean Coder of Villa Rica, Georgia and Debra Ann Oliver of Sonora, California; a stepdaughter, Monica Green of Simms, Texas; a stepson, Steve Oliver of Simms, Texas; a sister, Jean McLarty of Frisco, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 Wards Creek Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Steve Minter officiating.
