Mrs. Givens spent the last two years of her life in the Magnolia Nursing Home at 600 West Gregory Street in Pensacola, FL after living with her oldest daughter (Jane) for a number of years. Pauline died in the West Florida Hospital in Pensacola of a stroke. She was married to Clarence Myles Givens March 21, 1934. They had two daughters; Jane Carolyn (Givens) Woody of Pensacola, FL and Peggy Louise (Givens) Young of Summerdale, AL. Pauline lived near Berrydale (Santa Rosa County) Florida most of her early life, but lived the rest of her life in Seminole Alabama with her husband Clarence. Her parents were Price & Gertrude (Gertie) Phillips of Berrydale Santa Rosa County Florida and later moved to Baldwin County near Seminole, AL. They are both buried at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Baldwin County Alabama. Pauline had two brothers Gillis Preston Phillips who died as a child (6 years old) in 1922 and a younger brother Woodrow Wilson (Pete) Phillips who served in the US Army as a corpman. Pete died at the Naval hospital in Pensacola on 12/12/1960. Gillis Preston Phillips is buried at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Santa Rosa County and Pete Phillips is buried at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Elsanor, AL.
