William "Bill" Buracker, 90, of Urbana died at 7:56 a.m. Monday (May 4, 2015) at home.

Mr. Buracker was born in Virginia, Illinois on Nov. 1, 1924, the son of William Eldon and Mildred (Leeper) Buracker. He married Lucille Colvin on March 2, 1946 in Springfield. She preceded him in death on July 18, 2012. He was also preceded in death by a sister and granddaughter.

He is survived by a son, Donald E. Buracker; a daughter, Sandra L. Allen; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Buracker attended school in Springfield, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and, along with his wife, was owner/operator of The Optical Shoppe in downtown Urbana for 45 years.

He was a member of Webber Street Christian Church, Urbana, the Kiwanis Club, Urbana Masonic Lodge No. 157 and Tolono Masonic Lodge No. 391.
