OBITUARY
MRS. C. M. INGLIS
The death occurred in the Wagga District Hospital last night of a very old and highly respected lady of Wagga, Mrs. Christina Mary Beatrice Inglis, at the age of 68 years. The deceased was for many years a resident of Collins street, Wagga, but for the last 12 months had been living with her son, Mr. Douglas Inglis, of Eastwood, Sydney. Mrs. Inglis was a descendant of one of the oldest pioneering families of Wagga, being a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Angel, of Wagga and Lake Albert, and a granddaughter of Mr. Henry Angel, who was a member of the Hume and Hovell expedition. Mr. Angel, when he was with Hume and Hovell, was the first white man to swim the Murray River. Mrs. Inglis was the widow of Mr. Charles Malcolm Inglis, who predeceased her about three years ago. She returned to Wagga only last Sunday morning to spend a holiday with the members of her family at Wagga, and on the day of her arrival became seriously ill. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Seckold, of Norman street, Wagga, and seven sons, Messrs. Henry James Inglis, of Fox street, Wagga; Russell S. Inglis, of Collins street, Wagga; Rupert of Norman street, Wagga; Douglas, Clarrie, and Roy Inglis, of Eastwood, Sydney, and A. E. (Terry) Inglis of Wagga. The funeral will move from the residence of her daughter (Mrs. George Seckold), Norman street, Wagga, at 3 o'clock this afternoon for the Presbyterian cemetery, Wagga.
