On March 11, 2015, Larry was called home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Larry was born on June 9, 1931 in Robinson to Cecil D. Brady and Nellie Adkins Brady. Larry moved to Champaign when he was 4. He attended Dr. Howard Grade School, Champaign Junior High, and then Champaign High School. He was a proud member of the Class of '49. In high school, he was a member of the track team, the concert choir and an octet call the Troubadors.

Following graduation, Larry went to Eastern Illinois University, and then joined the U.S. Navy. His basic training was at Great Lakes Naval Base, and from there he went to the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Va., for Hospital Corps training. Larry graduated as a medical technician. Larry was on active duty for five years, serving on a variety of naval ships. He was an active Reserve for 18 years, and honorably retired in 1973.

While stationed in Portsmouth, Larry met the love his life - his wife Marge. She was also stationed at the Naval Hospital, and in the Navy. They married on Jan. 9, 1954, at the Hospital Chapel. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Surviving are his wife; children, David (Pam) Brady, Mike (Stacy) Brady and Sue (Tom) Grey; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Jack) May, and several nieces and nephews.

Larry owned and operated C-U Cytology service. He was certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the U.S. Department of Health and Welfare. He serviced many local independent doctors, Christie Clinic, Mercy (Presence) Hospital and Burnham Hospital.

In August of 2014, he and his wife Marge were selected to make an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., to visit all the war memorials; they both loved their trip together.
